Abstract
Krpelji su prijenosnici brojnih zoonoza (krpeljnog meningoencefalitisa, lyme borelioze, tularemije) kod ljudi, domaćih i divljih životinja. Kako bi se podigla svijest o opasnostima koji oni potencijalno nose, od iznimne je važnosti utvrđivanje i praćenje njihove brojnosti. Cilj predloženog diplomskog rada jest monitoring populacije tvrdih krpelja (por. Ixodidae) na području Rekreacijskog športskog centra Bundek. Monitoring je obuhvaćao utvrđivanje strukture populacija (vrsta, razvojni stadij, spol) i mjesečne dinamike. Prilikom petomjesečnog uzorkovanja krpelja prikupljeno je svega 9 jedinki tvrdih krpelja vrste obični ili šumski krpelj (Ixodes ricinus) u razvojnom stadiju nimfe. Zaključeno je da na području RŠC Bundek, unatoč povoljnim ekološkim uvjetima za njihov razvoj, imamo relativno malu brojnost tvrdih krpelja. Glavni razlog ovakvih rezultata je redovito održavanje i košnja travnatih površina.
