Abstract
Strane ili invazivne vrste jesu one koje prirodno ne obitavaju u određenom ekološkom sustavu nekoga područja, a unesene su nenamjerno ili namjerno te, vrlo često, negativno utječu na domicilnu floru i faunu prijeteći tako bioraznolikosti područja unutar kojega pokušavaju uspostaviti svoje populacije. Cilj predloženoga rada jest istražiti i opisati biologiju i ekologiju nekih recentnih biljnih i životinjskih vrsta koje su se pojavile na prostoru Hrvatske te proširile svoj negativni utjecaj i postale prijetnja stabilnosti naših šumskih ekosustava.
