Abstract

Quercus ilex L., u narodu poznat kao hrast crnika, raste kao stablo na području istočne obale Jadranskog mora. Duž sveukupnog areala razlikuju se dvije podvrste, a na mjestima preklapanja zabilježeni su hibridi. Funkcionalne značajke mjerene su na lišću triju provenijencija na prirodnom staništu, kao i na lišću uzorkovanom na juvenilnim biljkama prethodno uzgojenih u kontroliranim uvjetima, porijeklom iz istih provenijencija. Mjereni parametri predstavljaju stopa neto fotosinteze (A), indeks relativnog sadržaja ukupnih klorofila (CCI) te specifična lisna površina (SLA). Na različitim klimatskim gradijentima središnjeg i zapadnog Sredozemlja zabilježeno je postojanje značajne funkcionalne diferencijacije provenijencija hrasta crnike u dosadašnjim istraživanjima što potvrđuju rezultati ovoga rada na području istočne obale Jadranskog mora. Sklerofilnost lista, opisana vrijednošću SLA, u podudarnosti je s klimatskim deficitom vlage i količinom oborina u ljetnom periodu. Na istočnoj obali Jadranskog mora postoje ekotipovi uzme li se u obzir obrazac diferencijacije u pokusnom nasadu i prirodnim populacijama promatrajući SLA.

Abstract (english)

Quercus ilex L., commonly known as holm oak, grows as a tree on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea. Two subspecies are distinguished along the distribution range, and hybrids have been recorded at overlapping sites. Functional characteristics were measured on leaves of three provenances in natural habitat, as well as on leaves sampled on juvenile plants previously grown under controlled conditions, originating from the same provenances. The measured parameters represent the net photosynthesis rate (A), the total chlorophyll content index (CCI) and the specific leaf area (SLA). At different climatic gradients of the central and western Mediterranean, the existence of significant functional differentiation of holm oak provenances has been recorded in previous research, which is confirmed by the results of this work in the area of the eastern Adriatic coast. The sclerophilicity of the leaves, described by the SLA value, coincides with the climatic deficit of moisture and the amount of precipitation in the summer period. On the eastern coast of Adriatic Sea ecotypes are present, if the differentiation pattern in the experimental plantation and natural populations is observed through SLA.
