Abstract

Posljednjih desetljeća došlo je do povećanja svijesti o zaštiti
okoliša i nužnosti održivog razvoja. Kako bi bila
konkurentna, hrvatska poduzeća za preradu drva i
proizvodnju namještaja prisiljena su prilagoditi svoje
poslovanje u skladu s načelima održivog razvoja. FSC
certifikacija pruža poduzećima mogućnost da kroz
upravljanje certifikacijom i kontinuirano poboljšavanje uz
pomoć odgovarajućih alata i metoda stvore sustav s kojim
mogu ostvariti konkurentsku prednost. Certifikacija
gospodarenja šumskim dobrima podrazumijeva
zadovoljavanje određenih normi koje su unaprijed
definirane. Norme se u određenoj mjeri razlikuju ovisno o
programu certifikacije, ali se može reći da su one
jednostavne i zajedničke za većinu tipova šuma, bez obzira
na karakter vlasništva i sustav gospodarenja. Većina normi
je opisana principima, kriterijima i indikatorima. FSC
certifikat može izdati jedino ovlaštena organizacija koja
obavlja nadzor organizacije te uvidom u dokumentaciju i
stanje na terenu utvrđuje stupanj usklađenosti sa
standardom. Svaki sustav certifikacije treba konstantno
poboljšavati. Trajno poboljšavanje sustava certifikacije je
pronalaženje načina kako stvari raditi bolje, a to znači brže,
lakše, sigurnije i uz što manje troškove s ciljem ostvarenja
boljih poslovnih rezultata. Cilj ovog rada je bio istražiti
rasprostranjenost, prednosti, nedostatke i razloge uvođenja
FSC certifikacije u drvnoj industriji Republike Hrvatske. U tu
svrhu za analizu podataka su korišteni primarni (anketni
upitnik) i sekundarni (www.info.fsc.org) izvori podataka.
Uzorak istraživanja bila su poduzeća iz Republike Hrvatske
koja su nositelji FSC certifikata. Popis nositelja certifikata
preuzet je iz FSC baze (www.info.fsc.org). Upitnik je poslan
elektroničkom poštom na 221 adresu. Stopa odgovora
zaposlenika bila je 23,5 %. Kao najvažnije razloge
certifikacije ispitanici ističu imidž poduzeća i zahtjeve
globalnog tržišta te povećanje povjerenja i zadovoljstva
kupaca. Za probleme prilikom uvođenja sustava upravljanja
kvalitetom ispitanici su najčešće navodili opsežnu
dokumentaciju i visoke troškove uvođenja. Kao glavne
koristi ostvarene FSC certifikatom poduzeća su navela
zadržavanje postojećih kupaca, pridobivanje novih kupaca i
otvaranje novih tržišta. Velik broj poduzeća njih 94 %
ostvarilo je prihode od prodaje certificiranih proizvoda, a 35
% poduzeća ostvarilo je dobit od uvođenja FSC certifikata i
21 % poduzeća je povećalo svoje prodajne cijene od
uvođenja FSC certifikata.

Abstract (english)

In the recent decades awareness of environmental
protection and the need for sustainable development has
been increased. In order to be competitive, Croatian
companies for wood processing and furniture manufacturing
companies are forced to adapt their operations in
accordance with the principles of sustainable development.
FSC certification provides companies opportunity that
through quality management and continuous improvement,
with the help of appropriate tools and methods, they can
create a system with which they can achieve competitive
advantage. Certification of forest resources involves
meeting defined standard requirements. Standards can vary
to some extent depending on the program of certification,
but it could be said generally that they are simple and
common to most forest types, regardless of ownership type
and applied management system. Most of the standards
describe principles, criteria and indicators. FSC certification
can be issued only by authorized inspecting organization,
and examination of documents and the situation on the
ground determines the degree of compliance with the
standard. Each certification system needs to be constantly
improved. Continuous improvement of the certification
system is finding ways to do things better, which means
faster, easier, safer and with lower costs, in order to achieve
better business results. The objective of this work was to
investigate prevalence, advantages, disadvantages and
reasons for introduction of FSC certification in wood industry
Republic of Croatia. For that purpose for data analysis were
used primary (questionnaire) and secondary
(www.info.fsc.org) data sources. The research sample were
companies from the Croatian who are carriers of FSC
certification. List of holders of certificates taken from FSC
base (www.info.fsc.org). The questionnaire was sent by email
at the address 221. The response rate of employees
was 23, 5 %. As the most important reasons for certification
respondents cite company image and requirements of the
global market, and increase in trust and customer
satisfaction. Respondents most often cited the extensive
documentation and the high costs of implementation as
problems during the implementation of the quality
management system. As the main benefits gained from
FSC certification company pointed retaining existing
customers, attracting new customers and opening new
markets. A large number of companies, 94% reported
revenue from the sale of certified products and 35% of the
company made a profit since the introduction of FSC
certificates and 21% of companies increased their selling
prices since the introduction of FSC certification.
