Abstract
Šumski požari narušavaju stabilnost šumskog ekosustava. Uzrokuju izravne štete na gospodarskim funkcijama, te izravne i neizravne štete na općekorisnim funkcijama šuma. Obnova šuma i šumskog zemljišta nakon požara jedan je od najvažnijih procesa u upravljanju šumskim ekosustavima koje treba provesti. Zadatak šumarske struke je kod sanacije opožarenih površina pronaći što efikasnije i što rentabilnije metode sanacije staništa i očuvanja tla. U radu se analiziraju štete koje nastaju nakon požara i mogućnosti provođenja bioloških i tehničkih mjera s ciljem obnove i zaustavljanja degradacije staništa.
