Abstract
Tema ovoga završnog rada su ukrasne vrste i kultivari roda Cornus. Rod Cornus obuhvaća oko 55 vrsta drveća i grmlja, od kojih je nekoliko u Hrvatskoj često sađenih ukrasnih vrsta: Cornus alba, C. controversa, C. florida, C. kousa, C. mas, C. sanguinea i C. sericea. Osim vrsta, prisutni su i brojni ukrasni kultivari, sa specifičnim obilježjima habitusa, kore, listova, cvjetova, brakteja i plodova. U završnom radu će biti opisane i slikovno prikazane najvažnije ukrasne vrste i kultivari, bit će naglašen njihov značaj, odnosno primjena u vrtovima i parkovima te posebne karakteristike, kao npr. jestivost plodova
