Abstract

Gljive Ophiostoma ulmi i O. novo-ulmi uzrokovale su pande- miju krajem 20. stoljeća kojom su bile zahvaćene gotovo sve vrste brijesta i s nekih staništa u potpunosti je nestao. Ovim diplomskim radom biti će napravljen pregled znanstvenih ra- dova napisanih o ovoj bolesti od kraja 90-ih godina pa sve do
danas, s ciljem objedinjavanja podataka o uzročnicima bolesti (O. ulmi i različite podvrste O. novo-ulmi), potkornjacima kao vektorima bolesti te smanjenoj osjetljivosti pojedinih vrsta, kultivara i stabala brijesta.

Abstract (english)

The elm pandemic at the start of the 20th century was caused by Ophiostoma ulmi and O. novo-ulmi that affected all species of elm. This thesis is a review paper summarising works pub- lished on the disease caused at the end of the 90s up until today including causative agents (O. ulmi and different subspecies of O. novo-ulmi), bark beetles as vectors of the disease and diffe-
rences in species or cultivar sensitivity to disease.
