Abstract

Istraživanje rasprostranjenosti dabrova u Osječko-baranjskoj županiji provedeno je od travnja do rujna 2023. godine. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je popisati i kartirati sva područja na kojima je zabilježena aktivnost ili viđanje dabrova u periodu od 2020. do 2023. godine. Ovo istraživanje daje uvid u sliku trenutne rasprostranjenosti dabrova, kao i pretpostavke njihova porijekla i razloga odabira određenih staništa u Osječko-baranjskoj županiji. Istraživanje je provođeno sistematskim anketiranjem populacije koja često boravi u staništima koja smo procijenili kao potencijalna dabrova, kao i s određenim kadrovima čija se zanimanja vežu za zaštitu prirode.. Obilaskom terena u pratnji nadležnih osoba, zabilježene su štete i nove lokacije trajnih dabrovih nastanjenja. Prirodno pogodno stanište, kao i odsustvo kompeticije i grabežljivaca pomoglo je uspješnoj reintrodukciji i pozitivnim populacijskim trendovima dabrovih populacija na području Osječko-baranjske županije. Zaključeno je kako nije još došlo do maksimuma zasićenosti kapaciteta potencijalnih dabrovih staništa. Rezultati ovog istraživanja mogu poslužiti pri izradi i provođenju budućih Planova gospodarenja dabrom u Republici Hrvatskoj i njihovih revizija.

Abstract (english)

The research on the distribution of beavers in Osijek-Baranja County was conducted from April to September 2023. The goal of this research was to list and map all areas where beaver activity or sightings were recorded in the period from 2020 to 2023. This research provides an insight into the picture of the current distribution of beavers, as well as assumptions about their origin and reasons for choosing certain habitats in Osijek-Baranja County. The research was carried out by systematic surveying of the population that often resides in habitats that we have assessed as potential beaver habitats, as well as with certain personnel whose occupations are related to nature protection. By touring the field accompanied by competent persons, damage and new locations of permanent beaver habitats were recorded. The natural suitable habitat, as well as the absence of competition and predators, helped the successful reintroduction and positive population trends of beaver populations in the area of Osijek-Baranja County. It was concluded that the maximum saturation capacity of potential beaver habitats has not yet been reached. The results of this research can be used in the preparation and implementation of future beaver management plans in the Republic of Croatia and their revisions.
