Abstract

U radu se opisuju greške drva, te njihov utjecaj na svojstva i kvalitete drva kao materijala. Greške su opisane i podijeljene na skupine s obzirom na način postanka. Naglasak rada je na njihovo djelovanje na mehanička svojstva drva. Greške drva nisu nužno nedostaci koji se javljaju tijekom rasta stabla, nego se mogu javiti tijekom obaranja, sušenja i obrade. Također, razni biološki činitelji poput gljiva, bakterija i insekata koji se hrane drvnom tvari uzrokuju oštećenja koja možemo smatrati greškama drva. Poznavanje utjecaja ovih grešaka na mehanička svojstva drva vrlo je bitno zbog preventivnog djelovanja i klasifikacije proizvoda od drva, pogotovo u konstrukcijskim namjenama.

Abstract (english)

This work describes wood defects and their influence on the properties and qualities of wood as a material. Wood defects are described and divided into groups with regard to the way they occur. The emphasis of the work is on their effect on the mechanical properties of wood. Wood defects are not necessarily defects that occur during tree growth, but can occur during felling, drying and processing. Also, various biological factors such as fungi, bacteria and insects that feed on wood cause damage that can be considered wood defects. Knowled of the impact of these defects on the mechanical properties of wood is very important for preventive action and classification of wood products, especially for construction purposes.
